Runners, cyclists, triathletes, swimmers - every sport creates its own imbalances. The sports massage I practice starts from that reality, not from a standard protocol.
Sports Massage Antibes
Recovery and Performance on the Côte d'Azur
Sports massage specialist between Nice and Antibes
The area between Antibes and Nice is an exceptional playground for athletes. Bike rides up to Grasse or the Col de Vence, the trails of Cap d'Antibes, runs along the sea between Juan-les-Pins and Villeneuve-Loubet - all of this puts intense, repeated demands on the body. What I have observed for 17 years is that athletes in this area train seriously, but often underestimate what their muscles build up over the weeks.
I see clients from Antibes and the surrounding area at my practice on boulevard Franck Pilatte in Nice, near the port. For those who prefer not to travel, I also come to your home in Antibes and the nearby towns. Either way, the approach stays the same: targeted work on the areas of real tension, adapted to your sport and to what your body has been through recently.

Athletes in Antibes often notice the same things. After several weeks of regular training, the legs recover less well, the lower back feels heavy, the shoulders stay tight even on rest days. It is not a question of level - it happens to competitors as much as to weekend athletes who train seriously.
The terrain around Antibes makes some things worse. Cyclists who string together climbs into the hills come back with very loaded hamstrings and glutes. Runners who go out along the seafront often work on hard surfaces and in the same repeated plane, which creates specific tension in the calves, knees and hips. Triathletes combine all three disciplines and usually arrive with areas of fatigue that do not match what a classic massage will go after first.
What I try to do at every session is understand what you have done recently - what kind of effort, how often, where you feel it is stuck - before I lay my hands on you. An effective sports massage starts with this listening. Without it, you end up working in the wrong place.

My sports massage method
I mainly use deep work techniques on the muscles and fascia, combined as needed: deep tissue on heavily loaded areas, gentler work on the tissues when the area is sensitive, mobilizations to restore range of motion. I trained in fasciatherapy and acupuncture, which gives me several approaches to draw on within the same session depending on what I find.
The goal stays simple: that you leave with less tension than when you arrived, and that your body is in better condition for your next outing.
